Church announces events

The congregation at First Lutheran Church invites the community to join them at several upcoming event.

The events include:

• St. Olaf Choir — On Sunday, Dec. 4, at 1 p.m., the St. Olaf Choir Christmas concert will be livestreamed for Lutheran congregations. The community is invited to join First Lutheran Church in the fellowship hall to watch this

gift from the larger church.

• The Giving Tree — First Lutheran members and friends are encouraged to select “first names” on tags from a “Giving Tree” that will help homeless children and families of Bonner County throughthe Bonner Homeless Transitions. Tags have names, ages, needs and likes printed on them. Gifts are due in by Sunday, Dec. 18. The program is an annual outreach by the congregation to people in the community.

• Avent soup suppers — The congregation meets at 6 p.m. in the fellowship hall on Wednesday evenings for soup and fellowship before adjourning to the chapel for evening prayer and reflections on habits that generate hope. All community are invited to join the congregation.

Soup suppers will be held Dec. 7, 14 and 21.
