Fleck, Mazzare lead Bulldog JV at Blizzard

SANDPOINT — Isaiah Fleck pinned all four of his opponents in under one minute to claim the title at 160 pounds, one of six Sandpoint wrestlers to claim titles last Saturday at the eight-team JV Blizzard tournament at Sandpoint High School.

Malachi Mazzare (145) pinned all four of his opponents in the first period en route to the title, Micah Holub (126) pinned two Coeur d’Alene opponents before a first round pin of Kellogg in the championship, and Mason Bangeman (120) pinned all of his opponents, including a 17 second win over Post Falls in the championship.

Hans Liband (170) scored a 6-3 win over 5A power Post Falls in the final, and Andrew Webster (182) and Tyson Bushell (106) also earned wins for the Bulldogs, which speaks to the overall depth of the program.

Parker Coon (113) finished second, pinning opponents from Post Falls, Kellogg and Timberlake, before falling 10-7 in the finals. Austin Myers (106) was second, Aidan Emerson (138) was fourth and Malachi Fleck (120) finished sixth to roudn out the Bulldog placers.
