n World Cup update — Mikaela Shiffrin notched her second and third Giant Slalom World Cup victories on Semmering, Austria this week amidst fog and heavy snow. Already the most dominant Slalom racer in the world, she appears to be broadening her horizons. The wins expanded her overall World Cup lead, and propelled her to second in the Giant Slalom standings.

The men had another Downhill cancelled due to weather.

n Alberta Cup — Farli Boden wrapped up a big FIS race week at Panorama Resort with quality finishes of 24th and 22nd in Slalom. So she finishes the first month of her first year in FIS with a solid Slalom points profile and one quality GS score. Early success is huge as it sets one up for continued progress through the season.
