(Photo by ANNA BUTLER) The Sandpoint football team celebrates with head coach George Yarno after earning the first year coach his first victory, a 28-21 win over Greater Spokane League opponent Mt. Spokane. The win was extra special, as the game was played at Joe Albi Stadium, where Yarno’s father George Yarno Sr. used to take him as a kid. George Yarno Sr., a 10 year NFL veteran and former NFL and college coach, passed away right before the season started, which made the first win extra special and emotional for Yarno Jr.
