Legislative pace is beginning to pick up
The pace of work in the state legislative session is picking up at the Idaho Capitol.
Timber and agriculture are important segments of the economy in our area. As such, I was pleased to receive the honor of being named an Ag All Star by the Food Producers of Idaho. The group, which represents over 45 different agriculture commodity and farm organizations in Idaho base this honor on legislators’ voting records on selected pieces of legislation in the 2015 Idaho legislative session.
Idaho’s timber and agriculture business are overwhelmingly family-owned operations that work hard to produce the food and materials we each use every day. Here in Bonner and Boundary counties, those businesses are critical pieces of our economic base.
