Carving out winter fun
SANDPOINT — While the nation’s repetition of groundhogs all agree an early spring is in the forecast, winter still has its hold on the community and that means it’s time to celebrate with the 43rd annual Winter Carnival.
“It’s a great way to have fun from the lake to the mountain,” Kate McAlister, Greater Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce president and CEO, said.
The annual carnival celebrates all things winter and packs plenty of fun into its 12 days. There are ski and board parties, concerts, a parade of lights and community bonfire, a rail jam throw down, ski racing, cornhole tournaments, family bingo, live music, anda laser light snow and SnowSchool Experience event. And that’s just the first few days.
