Sen. Keough's stand on school funding troubling

Sen. Shawn Keough’s recent article reporting on the first week of the legislative session raised some questions for me: 

She endorses the governor’s 7.9-percent increase in 2017 funding for K-12 school, plus additional generous funding for other education, admitting that this is a high amount but it will “barely refill the cuts from our economic downturn.”
