LEGAL NOTICE In accordance with IDAPA 13.01.16.750.02, Rules Governing the Trapping of Predatory and Unprotected Wildlife and Taking of Furbearing Animals, the 2015-2016 take season for river otters will close in each region 72 hours after the harvest quota has been met, which occurs when a total of forty (40) otters have been harvested in the Panhandle Region. This harvest limit was met at 1200 hours PST on February 2, 2016. Therefore, pursuant to authority delegated by the Idaho Fish and Game Commission, the Secretary of the Idaho Fish and Game Commission hereby orders that the 2015-2016 river otter take season in the Panhandle Region be closed, effective February 5, 2016 at 1200 hours PST. The Panhandle Region is defined in the Rules Governing the Trapping of Predatory and Unprotected Wildlife and Taking of Furbearing Animals as Benewah, Bonner, Boundary, Kootenai, and Shoshone counties.
