The oxymorons of the political world

Baffling things abound: weather, gravity, music, infinity, religion, the NYSE. Each of us has his own list. Near the top of mine is an oxymoron: non-rich Republicans.

Most of us know rich people handout money to political candidates, in effect buying their votes for such things as lowering tax liabilities; that’s how the rich pay a lower percentage of tax on their income — à la Mitt Romney.
