NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the Bonner County Commissioners will hold a public hearing at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 9, 2016, in the First Floor Conference Room of the Bonner County Administration Building, 1500 Highway 2, Sandpoint, Idaho, to consider the following: File AM140-15 - Amendment - Appeal Procedures - Bonner County is initiating an amendment to Title 12 (Land Use Regulations) to change procedures for the consideration of appeals. The proposed amendment to Title 12, Chapter 2, would eliminate the current two-step process for considering appeals of final decisions by the Planning & Zoning Commission or hearing examiner. The code revision would allow appeals to go directly to public hearings before the Board of Commissioners. Current process requires the Board to first determine whether the Planning or Zoning Commission or Hearing Examiner errored in their decision. The amendment also would clarify the rights of appeal from the Board's final decisions. Copies of the proposed amendment may be obtained at the planning department or may be viewed at www.bonnercountyid.gov . Any person needing special accommodations to participate in the public hearing should contact the Bonner County Commissioner's Office at 208-265-1438 at least 48 hours before the hearing. Written statements exceeding one (1) standard letter-sized single-spaced page must be submitted to the Commissioner's Office no later than five (5) days prior to the public hearing. Please note written statements longer than the one (1) standard page will not be accepted at the public hearing.
