Why the need to change the Long Bridge's name?

Word is out that the Bonner County commissioners would like to see the Long Bridge name changed to “Captain David I. Lyon Memorial Bridge.” Besides the commissioners being behind the name change is the Idaho Chapter of the Air Force Academy.
