Plaster signs to play football at College of Idaho
SANDPOINT — With great size, speed and hands, Michael Plaster has all the tools to be a strong tight end, and he’ll get that chance, signing a scholarship to play football next season at College of Idaho.
Plaster has deceptive speed for a 6-foot-2, 220 pound player, and his new coaches have all but told him he’ll be the starter next season at H-back, a hybrid tight-end/running back/slot receiver position.
Plaster said the coaches of the new Frontier Conference school want him to come in and compete right away at the next level, offering up a $13,000 athletic scholarship.
“It’s awesome, makes you feel like you did something great this season. And I get to continue my education,” said Plaster, who plans to study business administration. “They plan to get the ball in my hands a lot.”
