SANDPOINT — A Clark Fork man has been indicted on 46 counts of creating counterfeit bank notes by a federal grand jury.

The indictment alleges that Keith Daniel Snyder counterfeited $50 bills from November 2015 to Jan. 13, when he was arrested by Bonner County sheriff’s deputies and a U.S. Secret Service agent.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Michael W. Mitchell initially moved for Snyder to be detained while awaiting trial on grounds Snyder was a flight risk who may attempt to interfere with the investigation. The motion, however, was withdrawn after an agreement was reached regarding pretrial release conditions, U.S. District Court records show.
