Litehouse INC had two violations of Sandpoint's Municipal Sewer Ordinance for discharging waste water with a FOG limit above 250mg/l on 11/18/2015 and again 12/01/2015. Per city code each violation requires a minimum $250 fine and recovery costs to the City. Litehouse has been working on more vigorous training to prevent future violations and has started the process of building a pretreatment plant on site to treat their waste before discharging it to the POTW. On 11/24/15 Litehouse Cheese had a violation of Sandpoint's Municipal Sewer Ordinance for discharging waste water with BOD in excess of their 1500mg/l permit limit. The root cause was cheese that had found its way into the drain and into the waste stream. Per city code this violation requires a minimum $250 fine and recovery of any costs to the City. Litehouse Cheese has installed cages on their drains to catch any excess cheese from finding its way down the drain and is working with employees on training. SNP Legal 3523 JANUARY 9, 2016
MINUTES FOR THE BONNER COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS' MEETING December 29, 2015 PLANNING - Approved Resolution #15-104 vacating a portion of Birch Bay Lane public right-of-way, File # VS1833-15 and authorized the Board to sign said resolution. RISK MANAGEMENT/HUMAN RESOURCES - Approved the pay sheets as presented Sheriff's Office 1 Full Time employee; New Hire Administrative Assistant for the Sheriff's Office Detective Group. ROAD & BRIDGE - Awarded the 2016 Culvert quote to Consolidated Supply Co. for the unit prices listed on the Quote Submittal Form for a total amount of $24,147.49 and authorized the Road & Bridge Director to move forward with the contract and allowed the Chairman to sign. Awarded the 2016 Road Fabric quote to Arrow Construction Supply for the unit prices listed on the Quote for a total amount of $17,618.64 and authorized the Road & Bridge Department to move forward with the contract and allowed the Chairman to sign. Approved the FY2015 Annual Road and Street Financial Report. Approved Resolution #15-105 for the Road & Bridge Department to publish a Notice Sole Source Procurement in the Bonner County Daily Bee for 14 days for the proposed purchase of overhead cranes for bay 1 of the County's District 1 maintenance shop. PARKS & WATERWAYS - Approved the Parks & Waterways Department submission to retain the Vessel Account Surplus from Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation and authorized the Chairman to sign and execute the Request for Retention of County Vessel Funds. MISCELLANEOUS - Approved the letter to the State Board of Land Commissioners informing them that the BOCC has no objections to the upcoming auction of endowment land at Priest Lake. CLERK - Approved Resolution #15-106 authorizing Bonner County EMS to carryover fund balances and maintain County operations on a cash basis as described in the resolution.
