SANDPOINT — Three callers have been helped through a crisis by calling the newly-opened after-hours North Idaho Crisis Line in the last two weeks. North Idaho residents can receive help from on-call licensed mental health professionals by calling 208-946-5595.

“The clinicians are providing supportive listening, encouragement and resources,” said Catherine Perusse, crisis director for National Alliance for Mental Illness Far North. “Crisis can affect anyone at any time. The need for emotional support or referral assistance is something most individuals encounter at some point in their lives.”
