Columbia takes down Sandpoint

POST FALLS — Casey Randles (182) picked up a first period pin, and Scout Nash (126) won a major decision to lead Sandpoint to a 55-25 loss to Columbia in a dual Thursday night at Post Falls High School.

Tucker Hall (132) also earned a decision for the Bulldogs (6-3), who got a great tune up and chance to compete against one of the top ranked 4A teams in the state.

The Bulldogs will get plenty more duals at the River City Duals, which started with a solid 51-33 win over Bonneville to open the tourney, which continues today at 9 a.m. at the Arena in Post Falls. Participating teams include: Bishop Kelly, Bonners Ferry, Columbia, Ephrata, Eureka, Freeman, Gonzaga Prep, Kamiakin, Kellogg, Lakeland, Lewis and Clark, Medical Lake, Moscow, Post Falls, Priest River, Sandpoint, Timberlake, West Valley, Lincoln and Bonneville.

Third round matches take place today from 9 a.m. to noon, followed by fourth round matches from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m.

Placing matches for fifth-eighth place will be from 3:30 to 5 p.m., followed by first through fourth place matches from 5 to 6:30.
