Driver in deadly crash faces charge

SANDPOINT — A criminal charge is pending against a Post Falls man who was involved in a crash on U.S. Highway 95 that claimed the life of a Bonner County woman last summer.

The charge against Alexander Christopher Hjelt remains filed under seal until he makes an initial appearance in Bonner County Magistrate Court on Feb. 5. The charge in the case is a misdemeanor, according to the Idaho Supreme Court Data Repository.
