(Family Features) Ingredient labeling, food affordability and removing artificial ingredients are highlighted as priorities for Americans in a survey conducted by national retailer ALDI. Shoppers are looking for fresh, simple, honest foods: from produce and meat to that final snack at checkout. In response, ALDI recently cut certified synthetic colors, added MSG and partially hydrogenated oils (a source of trans fat) from all of its exclusive brand food products, making it easier to shop for items the whole family can feel good about preparing and eating.
