SANDPOINT — A Washington state man who led law enforcement on a low-speed chase and holed up in a Sunnyside residence last month is being ordered to stand trial.

James Michael Biddix is charged with aggravated battery, use of a firearm during the commission of a crime and misdemeanor eluding. He remains held at the Bonner County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail.

The charges stem from a Dec. 16, 2015, incident. Sandpoint Police stopped Biddix for a traffic violation, but he allegedly drove away and was followed to a residence in Sunnyside. Officer Ben Koester went onto the home’s deck, shined a flashlight through a window and saw Biddix standing there was a long gun.
