My apology to the town in which I was born

I was bent on getting all that I could, while being misunderstood. Too young to give it much thought, just focused on all that I got. I spent others’ money that should have went toward clothes, food and bills. 

They would come see me from outta town, in town and from the hills. I was young, immature, and truly a lost cause. Even the first few years in prison didn’t give me a pause.
