About 1:30 p.m. Christmas Day, my car slid off an icy curve into the snow-filled ditch on Rapid Lightening Road.
Richard, driving a white truck, stopped and offered to pull out my car. Luckily I had a shovel and he cleared the bumper-high snow, then pulled it out and got me back on my way to dinner and Christmas with my family.
