McDonald in hunt for Dist. 3 seat

SANDPOINT — Dan McDonald announced his candidacy Wednesday for the District 3 seat on Bonner County's board of commissioners.

McDonald is seeking the seat of commission Chairman Cary Kelly, who announced earlier this month that he will not stand for re-election.

McDonald, a 20-year resident of the county, works as a consultant for the Garland Co., an Ohio-based manufacturer of high-performance roofing and building envelope systems. His background includes setting budgets, planning, specifications and project management, skills which McDonald believes will prove to be of value as a commissioners.
