Courtney Windju graduates USD

Courtney Windju of Sandpoint graduated fom the University of San Diego on May 22.

Windju earned a a bachelor’s degree in behavioral neuroscience.

Windju completed the requirements for graduation in January of this year.

Chartered in 1949, the University of San Diego enrolls approximately 8,300 undergraduate and graduate full-time equivalent students.

Area students earn dean’s list honors

The University of Montana Western named 488 students to the 2016 spring semester dean’s list, including two students from Bonner County.

Tala Fehsel of Hope and Chloe Gedrose of Sandpoint both received dean’s list honors.

To achieve this honor, students must be enrolled full-time or for 12 semester credits and carry a minimum 3.33 grade point average.

Hill recognized for athletic leadership

Paul Hill of Sagle has shown skill and leadership in athletics and was therefore selected to serve as captain for Graceland University Men’s Track during the 2015-16 school year.

A team captain is more than just a title, said the school in announcing the honor. They serve as leaders, role models and representatives for the rest of the team, both on and off the field or court. Their leadership and influence is fundamental to the team’s success in all ways.

Graceland University is a liberal arts university located in Lamoni, Iowa, and is sponsored by the Community of Christ.
