'Destination Idaho' showing at Panida

| July 6, 2016 1:00 AM

SANDPOINT — Make your destination the Panida to catch a free red carpet premiere of ‘Destination Idaho’ film today. The doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the free showing begins at 7 p.m. A question-and-answer period with director Karen Day will follow.

What state contains the highest waterfall, the deepest canyon, the longest whitewater river miles, and the most wilderness per capita in the lower 48? Idaho!

The 65-minute film, backed by everyone from the Idaho Historical Society and the Idaho Department of Parks & Recreation to Airstream Adventures Northwest, traces Idaho attractions, landscapes and more via a 2,000-mile road trip via Airstream trailer; its soundtrack features Idaho musicians. Created over the past two years in partnership with filmmaker Karen Day, “Destination Idaho” premiered at the 2016 Sun Valley Film Festival to a full house and she is excited to premiere it at the Panida for a red carpet event and open to the public.
