Frederick George Brigley, 74, passed away on Saturday, July 2, 2016 in Sandpoint, Idaho.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 8, 2016 at the Hope Cemetery. Viewing for friends and family will be held Thursday evening from 6-8: p.m. at the Lakeview Funeral Home in Sandpoint.

Fred was born on Aug. 23, 1941, in Coronation, Alberta, Canada. He was raised on the family farm in Coronation, but moved to Edmonton to complete his education.

Fred married Sandra Jackson in 1961 and they had two children.

Fred was a top salesman for AMA in Red Deer. He opened Hicke Real Estate in Edmonton. After selling the real estate business he opened Wonder Homes, and built up to 100 homes per year. In 1981 he moved to Scottsdale, Ariz., and opened Can-Alta Commercial Developments. In 1995 he designed and built his summer home in Hope, Idaho.

Fred married Debra Van Heusen on May 12, 2008 in Sandpoint. He retired in 2012. Fred made fast friends. He enjoyed flying, golfing, fishing, traveling the world, cruising, and his Blue Healer “B.J.”

He is survived by his wife, Debra Brigley of Hope, Idaho; two children, Chuck and Carleen Brigley of Edmonton, Alberta; three grandchildren, Levi Brigley, Rachel MacKenzie and Rebecca MacKenzie; three stepchildren, Katrice, Haven, and Austin; and five siblings, Gordon (Sylvia) Brigley of Red Deer, Alberta, Julia Couturier of Coronation, Alberta, Darryl Brigley of Red Deer, Alberta, Lila (Bill) Merchant of Red Deer, Alberta, and Linda (Scot) McLean of Reno, Nev.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
