Annual Beerfest brewing up fun

SANDPOINT — Beer enthusiasts are invited to the third annual Sandpoint Beerfest, held Saturday, July 9, from noon to 5 p.m. on the lawn of Trinity at City Beach, 58 Bridge St.
The annual event features 12 craft breweries from Northwest region, offering more than 24 craft beers and ciders (including rare and limited-distribution brews). To celebrate the summer, the regional brewers will be focusing on fruit infused beers. Everyone is invited to take part in Sandpoint Beerfest to learn more from the expert brewers while you enjoy live music. Food prepared by Trinity at City Beach will be available for purchase.
The one-day beer tasting event designed to promote the appreciation of the region’s best and finest craft beers of 12 breweries, many of whom are award winners and all of whom are working to raise the bar of beer culture throughout the Inland Northwest. Beerfest patrons looking for a unique, specialty beers will be sampling some of the best, hard-to-find beers available. The $20 tasting package includes a commemorative pint glass, brewzy and six tokens. More tokens are available for purchase: one token for 4-ounce taste and three tokens for full pint. All tokens are $2.
Featured breweries include Ballast Point Brewing & Spirits, Downdraft Brewing Co., Laughing Dog Brewing, Mad Bomber Brewing Company, MickDuff’s Brewing Co., Orlison Brewing Co., Post Falls Brewing Company, River City Brewing, Slate Creek Brewing Co., 12 String Brewing Co, Waddell’s Brewpub & Grill. Brand new for this year will be hard cider from Summit Cider and non-alcoholic drinks (MickDuff’s handcrafted root beer).
Live music by the Sandpoint’s emerging artists, Still Tipsy and Hangovers sets the stage at this perfect beach setting. The event is free to attend.
