Hilda Schmidt, 92

Hilda Schmidt, 92, of Sandpoint, Idaho, formerly of Enid, Okla., died Sunday, July 3, 2016, at Luther Park of Sandpoint.

A celebration of life ceremony will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Luther Park in the craft room, with Pastor Steve Neuder officiating.

A second service will take place at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 16, at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home in Enid. Interment will follow in the New Hopedale Cemetery in Meno, Okla.

Hilda Marie Schmidt was born Feb. 17, 1924, to Jacob and Marie (Rempel) Regier in Mountain Lake, Minn., the eldest of seven children.

She was united in marriage to Arthur Roy Schmidt on June 16, 1950. To this union were born five children. Serving her Lord and family were Hilda’s joy and life.

Hilda is preceded in death by her husband, Arthur; parents, Jacob and Marie Regier; an infant sister, Edna and a brother, Melvin.

She is survived by her children, son Mervin (Cindy) Schmidt of Ramona, Okla., daughter Betsy (Norman) Olson of Glen Ellyn, Ill., son Fredrick (Desiree) Schmidt of Nampa, Idaho, son Jonathan (Karen) Schmidt of Spokane, Wash., and son Ronald (Anne) Schmidt of Ponderay, Idaho; her sisters, AnnaMae (Glen deceased) Epp, Myrna (Verne) Zielke, and Elisabeth (Walt) Heinrichs; a brother, Norman (Nancy) Regier; a sister-in-law, Lydia Regier; and also by her 16 grandchildren and her 16 great-grandchildren.
