The Conversation to host annual picnic in Dover

DOVER — The Conversation is hosting its annual picnic at Dover City Beach on Wednesday, July 13, from 5-7:30 p.m.

Those interested in attending should bring what they want to share to eat and drink. Park rules: no alcohol, no glass, pets on leash. Bring chairs.

Parking is limited so those planning to attend The Conversation’s annual picnic are asked to ride share or a ride a bike if possible.

To get to the park, go west on Highway 2 to Dover, exit at the Dover street entrance on the old highway, go to Dover Bay Boulevard, go toward Dish Restaurant. Just before you get to Dish make a right, and go to the Park.

Those attending the picnic are asked to bring a poem, object, painting, picture, or article that inspires them to the event.

For those who can’t make it to the picnic on Wednesday, July 13, there will be another Conversation on Thursday, July 14, at Ivano’s from 6-8 p.m.

There will be no meeting to August. The group is changing its meetings to the second Wednesday of the month so not to compete with the Panida and other Thursday events. The next meeting will be held Sept. 14 at Ivano’s.
