Steve Klatt’s comments on the Fourth of July celebration in Garfield Bay certainly ignited a different kind of fireworks.
Had he been involved and communicated with our committee, a positive and accurate description of what really occurs here would have been presented to the public along with his new ordinances. Our joyful celebration of Independence Day was diminished and I feel the community of Garfield Bay deserves an apology for his misrepresentation of what it is actually all about: pancakes, hot dogs, ice cream, face painting, horseshoes, parade, fireworks — family, friends, neighbors and fun.
