A non-injury accident was reported in the 29000 block of Highway 41 in Blanchard at 12:27 a.m.

Jesse Judge, 18, of Sandpoint, was placed under arrest for an outstanding Kootenai County Arrest Warrant and possession of methamphetamine in the 12800 block of Baldy Mountain Road at 2:43 a.m.

Disorderly conduct was reported on Larch Street in Priest River at 4:03 a.m.

SANDPOINT POLICE

July 4

A dog, frightened by fireworks, ran away from the 400 block of Willow Drive at 7:43 a.m.

Skateboards and fishing equipment were reported taken from a vehicle in the 800 block of Church Street at 9:07 a.m.

A Sandpoint officer located a reportedly reckless driver for the county in the Colburn-Culver Road area at 9 a.m.

Suspicious circumstances were reported in the 600 block of S. Division Avenue at 9:06 a.m.

Information was received about a small dog that ran away from the 500 block of Marion Avenue at 10:06 a.m.

A case was assigned to cover a complaint about abortion protestors putting flyers on vehicles in the area of Lakeview Boulevard and St. Clair Avenue at 11:56 a.m.

An alarm was reported in the 500 block of Fifth Avenue at 12:46 p.m.; officers advised that nothing appeared disturbed.

Request for a patrol officer to issue parking citations at City Beach at 1:08 p.m.

After a complaint at 1:22 p.m., an officer advised that abortion protestors were disturbing passersby in the downtown area with their message delivery but were within their legal rights.

A Sandpoint K9 officer assisted the county on a traffic stop in the 2700 block of N. Boyer Avenue at 4:10 p.m.

A 16-year-old Sandpoint male was cited on a charge of minor in possession of alcohol at Bonner General at 4:47 p.m.

Report of an ongoing parking problem in the 1400 block of Northshore Drive at 4:44 p.m.

An officer was unable to locate the source of fireworks in the area of Remington Court at 5:33 p.m.

A found juvenile in the 500 block of Marion Avenue was returned to his residence at 6:33 p.m.

Steven L. Nye, 33, of Sandpoint, was cited on a charge of possession of paraphernalia in the 200 block of Pine Street at 7:05 p.m.

An officer answered a citizen’s questions regarding the location of the fireworks display at 7:19 p.m.

A vehicle illegally parked in the city lot at Third and Main was towed at 8:49 p.m.

After a DUI investigation in the 474000 block of Highway 95 at 9:55 p.m., the driver was released without charges.

An officer was unable to locate any fireworks in the 1200 block of Main Street at 9:36 p.m.

An officer was unable to locate any fireworks in the 1100 block of Hickory Street at 10:08 p.m.

Subjects lighting aerial fireworks in the 1300 block of Larch Street were issued verbal warnings at 11:15 p.m.

A citizen in the 600 block of N. Ella was unhappy about the fireworks going off in the area at 10:50 p.m.

Officers contacted several subjects setting off fireworks in the area of Division and Oak at 11:30 p.m. and advised they were legal.

July 5

An officer was unable to locate anyone setting off fireworks in the 1000 block of N. Ella Avenue at 12:08 a.m.

A knife was reported found at City Beach at 1:52 a.m.

Officers were unable to locate anyone in the 1600 block of Larch Street setting off fireworks and being loud at 2:34 a.m.

An intoxicated male was given a courtesy transport to his residence from the 500 block of Church Street at 2:54 a.m.

Travis S Luke, 20, of Sandpoint, was arrested in the 700 block of Monroe Avenue at 3:37 a.m. on a charge of driving under the influence.
