BCSO is hosting boat safety course

SANDPOINT — The Bonner County Sheriff’s Office will be conducting a Boat Idaho Course next weekend for the boating public wanting to learn basic boating laws and safety.

The class begins at 9 a.m. Saturday, July 23, at the Marine Division boat house, 4001 N. Boyer Road. The class is expected to last about six hours.

The Boat Idaho Course is free to the public and is open to residents of any state. The course teaches participants about boating safety and the requirements and equipment needed. Basic boating laws and the rules of the road with regard to navigation and boater courtesy will be instructed.

Registration isn’t required and walk-ins are welcome.
