Aikido Idaho offers youth and adult classes

| July 14, 2016 1:00 AM

SANDPOINT — Both youth and adult classes are offered, as Aikido Idaho and the Takayama dojo (521 Cedar St.) bring more than 30 years of authentic Japanese martial arts experience to Sandpoint.

Aikido Idaho teaches a noncompetitive, nonviolent martial art which focuses on flexibility, body awareness, balance and stability in motion. Students learn to grow both internally and externally through experiencing formality, discipline, sharing and challenge. With time students learn what it means to be a responsible member of a safe and caring community.
