Mobile food bank dates announced

SANDPOINT — The 2nd Harvest mobile food bank will be distributing free food at a pair of upcoming events.

The first food distribution event is set for Tuesday, July 19. The rain-or-shine event will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and is being held at First Lutheran Church, 526 S. Olive St., Sandpoint. The event is sponsored by First Lutheran Church, Bonner County Thrivent members, and Asuris Northwest Health.

The second food distribution event will be held Friday, July 29, from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. at Christ Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1900 Pine St., Sandpoint. The event is sponsored by Christ Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Bonner County Thrivent members, and Asuris Northwest Health.

The 2nd Harvest mobile food bank offers free produce, nutritious perishable products and other groceries to any family in need of food assistance. No documentation or appointment is needed. Recipients are asked to bring a box to take home their food items.
