Skate park closed for repairs

| July 14, 2016 1:00 AM

SANDPOINT — Attention all skateboarders, scooter riders and anyone else who enjoys the Concrete Lake, also known as the skate park at Travers: The park will be closed for repairs today and Friday, with no use allowed.

Each year, in anticipation of the annual King of the Kongcrete competition, the park is closed for patching, sealing and various other maintenance items to improve the park.

The 11th Annual King of the Kongcrete competition will hit Sandpoint on Aug. 20, with skaters of all ages from around the region on hand to perform tricks and all kinds of aerials.

The concrete patching and sealing requires 72 hours to cure, so any activity is prohibited until the park re-opens on Friday night, July 22.

The park will re-open on the evening of Friday, July 22.

Sandpoint Parks and Rec thanks everyone for their cooperation.
