The P.E.O. Sisterhood is a philanthropic educational organization in which women celebrate the advancement of women. P.E.O strives to motivate women to achieve their highest aspirations by providing educational opportunities through scholarships, grants, awards, loans and stewardship of Cottey College, an independent liberal arts and sciences college for women in Nevada, Mo.
Among local recipients of a national P.E.O. grant is Johanna Ramsey sponsored by Chapter V. Local scholarships were presented by Chapter V to Sandpoint High School students Chloe Rothenberger and Ana Lee Hepinstall. A scholarship was also presented to Sierra Sundgren, Lake Pend Oreille High School. Chapter CA scholarships were awarded to Sara Wells, Sandpoint High School; Leslie Kiebert, Clark Fork High School; and Sierra Sundgren, Lake Pend Oreille High School. Grant, loan and award recipients, as well as Cottey College students, need not be members of P.E.O.
