SANDPOINT — When it comes to style and beauty options, Stylebar Beauty Bar has it all.

The full service salon, 111 N. First Ave., recently opened as the community’s first blow dry bar/ full-service salon to hit the Pacific Northwest.

“Stylebar, the first exclusive blow dry bar in North Idaho, brings the most popular styles from New York City and California straight to you. In only 30 minutes you can look and feel like a fabulous Hollywood star or a sleek, sexy Manhattanite,” said owner Sarah Hess, who added the salon features an experienced staff and a fully functioning website that makes it convenient to book anything online.

Hess, who has been an active member of the community for six-plus years, recently brought her high-end expertise to Sandpoint with Stylebar Beauty Bar.

A Sandpoint area native, Hess moved to Southern California after high school but, after living there and working/managing her family’s high-end chain of salons for 15 years, she decided to move back home.

Hess worked for a couple great salons in Sandpoint, but she said her passion was always to own her own salon and give customers a full-service salong complete with all possibile amenities — from booking appointments to every possible beauty needs in-house that day.

After opening a blow dry bar in Coeur d’ Alene, Hess said she knew she could make a similar salon succeed in Sandpoint, because the demand was there and women love to get pampered. The blow dry bar is a salon that offers a complimentary beverage, a fun chick flick and a wash and style, Hess explained.

“Women this day and age are on the fly and doing their own hair sometimes can be quite a challenge so combine a blowout bar with a full-service salon and you have some very happy customers,” she said.

Hess opened Stylebar CDA with lifelong friend, soul twin and hero Sara Dalebout, who lost her battle with cancer in 2014. With a second salon opening in Sandpoint, Hess said Daleabout would be “so proud to see their dream coming true with Stylebar.”
