| July 27, 2016 1:00 AM

SANDPOINT — The Greater Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce Evergreen Realty as July’s Business of the Month. The chamber recognizes Evergreen Realty for its commitment to providing high quality service to clients as well as the community. Evergreen Realty is deeply rooted in the community and its generous contribution to local non-profits does not go unrecognized.

Evergreen Realty was co-established by Charlie Parrish and Phil Albanese as a small office at Schweitzer Mountain in 1986. The company was originally formed to provide exclusive real estate brokerage service for development of ski homes and condominiums at Schweitzer and in Sandpoint. In 1987, the company moved its operation base into downtown Sandpoint.

Since then, Evergreen Realty has provided its quality service from two convenient locations, downtown Sandpoint and Schweitzer Mountain, offering a professional and comfortable environment for conducting confidential real estate meetings in a friendly atmosphere. Also, with all the technological enhancements for mobile devices, Evergreen Realty is progressively improving on Internet site technology that adapts to customers mobile devices such as the app “Property Search on the Go,” which enable searching for homes and properties anywhere, anytime right from a smartphone.

Evergreen Realty has been highly involved in the community it serves since its formation. Team members have served on numerous professional and community leadership organizations, including the Selkirk Association of Realtors, The Festival at Sandpoint, Idaho Panhandle Habitat for Humanity, the Panida Theater, Bonner County Human Rights Task Force, and KRFY — Panhandle Community Radio to mention a few. Evergreen Realty also supports a variety of local non-profits, including Kinderhaven, The Festival at Sandpoint, Can Do MS benefit, the Scenic Half Marathon, Holly Eve, Ponderay Bay Trail and CHAFE 150. They have donated food yearly to the Bonner Community Food Bank (with over 3,000 pounds donated in one year). In the last 10 years, Evergreen Realty has sold 1,765 homes and land in Bonner and Boundary counties and donates a portion of every sale to Habitat for Humanity, raising over $60,000 thus far.

The realty team includes 12 leading real estate professionals, averaging almost 20 years of experience per agent. For its contributions and leadership abilities in the real estate industry and in our community, Evergreen Realty was acknowledged by the Bonner County Daily Bee as Best of 2016. It was voted again by the community as the No 1 Best Real Estate Office and two of their agents for Favorite Realtor.
