SANDPOINT — Jack Reeves carded a 76 and a 74 for a 150 at Palouse Ridge Golf Course on Monday and Tuesday, qualifying for the Washington Statte Junior Golf State Championships on Aug. 2-4 in Bellingham, Washington.

Reeves, a junior on the Bulldog golf team and one of the top golfers in North Idaho, posted the lowest closing round to earn medalist honors on the final day.

Also qualifying was Will Reeves, an incoming freshman at Sandpoint who recently returned from an injured elbow to join his brother in punching his ticket to state.

The brothers will get to test their skills against some of the top youth golfers in the Northwest next week, and will eventually be part of the strongest boys golf team ever at Sandpoint for the next couple of years. Both also play hoops for the Bulldogs.
