Ronald Duane Morgan, 77, passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2016, in Sandpoint, Idaho.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, June 3, 2016, with military honors at Pinecrest Cemetery.
Ron was born on Aug. 2, 1938, in Estherville, Iowa, to Harold and Leah Morgan. He moved to Sandpoint at age 7, and graduated from Sandpoint High School in 1956. He served his country in the United States Army.
Ron worked for Lockheed in Burbank, Calif. He then moved to Seattle, Wash., where he worked for Boeing, wiring and hydraulic plumbing.
In 1982, he moved to Covina, Calif., and worked for Verizon until retirement in 1993 when he moved back to Sandpoint.
He loved sports, especially Gonzaga girls basketball and Sand-point High School volleyball. He grew up playing baseball.
Ron is survived by two sisters, Darlene (Denis) Spade of Sandpoint and Lauraine “Lori” Montgomery of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho; and nieces and nephews, Shawn Morgan, Stacy Morgan-Wolfe, Clorrisa Koster, Christina Murphy, and Jackie Montgomery.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Larry Morgan.
