SANDPOINT — Quest Aircraft Company is pleased to announce the completion of the first phase of its facility expansion. The new building addition was officially dedicated Thursday in a ceremony at the company’s headquarters.

In fall 2015, Quest began the construction of a 75,000-square-foot expansion at its Sandpoint headquarters, which when complete will nearly double the Kodiak production facility. The Phase I addition adds 27,000 square feet of space, bringing the current building to 110,000 square feet.

During the dedication ceremony, a plaque honoring Dave Clark, a Quest employee and key member of the expansion team, was presented in his memory to the family of Mr. Clark. The plaque will be mounted on the wall of the new addition, as well.

“We are pleased to place this plaque here in his memory,” Susan Jordan, senior vice president and CFO, said in commemorating the dedication.

“Even though Dave is not here to the see the completion, he will always be remembered for his hard work and dedication to Quest.”

Quest continues to expand as part of its international growth strategy.

The company had a strong 2015, having delivered 32 Kodiak aircraft, the best year to-date in the company’s history.

Kodiak deliveries have risen steadily since 2012, as worldwide demand for the Kodiak has grown.

Quest has begun construction work on the next phase of its expansion, which will include an aircraft painting facility.

Quest Aircraft Company is the manufacturer of the Kodiak, a 10-place single engine turboprop airplane, designed for STOL use and float capability.

Headquartered in Sandpoint, the company was established in 2001 and began deliveries of the Kodiak in December 2007.
