Tech Track project car up for auction
CLARK FORK — Students in the Tech Track program at Clark Fork High School this year have something substantial to show for their efforts. Under the guidance of instructor Marty Jones, the budding auto mechanics beefed up a Suzuki Samurai to create a rugged-looking off-road vehicle.
"They've practically completely rebuilt the little 4x4, including the engine," said Mike Turnland, Clark Fork High School's Experiential Learning Track coordinator. "The Suzuki will be auctioned off at the Clark Fork Fourth of July celebration. The proceeds (will help) the Tech Track program at CFHS buy another vehicle to rebuild."
The Les Schwab Tire Center in Ponderay and manager Larry Enright helped out on this year's project with the generous donation of custom tires, wheels and accessories, Turnlund said, and everyone involved would like to express their thanks.
