Wakesurfing, wakeboarding and waterski classes offered
SANDPOINT — Surf Sandpoint on June 20 and 21 with Action Water Sports on one of the best boats in town, as a wakesurfing class is on tap for participants ages 10–18 years-old. No experience is needed, with both beginner and advanced surfers welcome.
Each rider will get 20 minutes in the water per session. Instructors will go over the basics, from getting up out of the water to surface spins and aerials for the advanced riders.
This two-day class runs from 5 -7:30 p.m. each day, with participants meeting at AWS (100 N. 1st Ave.) 30 minutes before class starts. Make-up sessions for weather will be held on June 27 and 28, if needed.
The class fee is $50 ($2 city discount) and AWS can take a minimum of two and a maximum of six participants per class, so register early to guarantee your spot.
n Wakeboarding and Waterski classes offered
On June 22 and 23, Action Water Sports will teach kids 10-18 years-old the basics of Wakeboarding or Waterskiing with some of the best instructors in town.
Participants will learn how to get up out of the water on skis or a board. Instructors will teach the basics of making turns in and out of the wake, to jumping the wake for the more advanced riders. Each rider will get 20 minutes in the water per session. No experience is needed, and all skill levels are welcome.
This two-day class runs from 5-7:30 p.m. each day, with ake-up sessions for weather held on June 29 and 30, if needed. Participants are to meet at Adventure Water Sports (100 N. 1st Ave) 30 minutes before the class starts.
The class fee is $50 ($2 city discount), and early registration will help.
