Elks host Flag Day celebration

PONDERAY —The community is invited to celebrate Flag Day with the Sandpoint Elks Lodge, 30196 Highway 200.

Flag Day is celebrated on June 14 and commemorates the adoption of the flag of the United States of America, which happened on that date in 1777 by resolution of the Second Continental Congress. Flag Day will be observed by the Sandpoint Elks, with assistance from local Boy Scouts, at a short public ceremony on Tuesday, June 14, at the lodge beginning at 6 p.m. All are invited to attend.
