7B Women hosts summer clothes swap

| June 14, 2016 1:00 AM

SANDPOINT — Do you have a closet full of clothes, but nothing to wear?

Here’s a chance to clean out your closets for an opportunity to swap your unwanted summer attire for something new to you as 7B Women hosts an evening of shopping, sharing and sipping all for a great cause on Thursday, June 16, at the Bernd Barrel, at 5:30 p.m.

Here’s how it works:

Donate your new or gently used summer attire including: dresses, skirts, shorts, pants, jackets, light sweater, shoes/sandals, hats, bags, scarves, sunglasses, jewelry, and other summer accessories, to one of the below locations by THIS Wednesday, June 15. Only new to very gently used clothes — no holes, stains, tears, or broken zippers please — are being accepted.

Invite your friends to come along and make it a girl’s night out. Make sure to RSVP to 7B Women’s Facebook event.

Join the group on Thursday, June 16. Doors open at 5:30 pm and the swapping will begin around 6 p.m. A $10 cover will be charged at the door, which, along with leftover clothing items, will be donated to Priest River Ministries Advocates for Women, to assist local women in need.

Grab a glass of wine from the Bernd Barrel, then head downstairs to “shop.” You can take as much or as little you like. Clothes will be organized by category and size. Remember to bring your own bag to hold your treasures. A few special items will be auctioned off throughout the night.

Anything not “swapped” will be donated to Priest River Ministries Advocates for Women along with the entry fee.

Please drop off your donations no later than Wednesday, June 15, at one of four drop-off locations: Sandpoint Title Insurance, Washington Trust Bank, Selle Valley Construction, and the Bonner County Daily Bee.
