Stand up paddle board class on tap in Sandpoint

SANDPOINT — Come try out one of the hottest trends on the water, as Action Water Sports offers a Stand Up Paddle Board Class for youth ages 12-18 years-old on June 27 at AWS (100 N. 1st Ave.) from 10-11 a.m.

Paddle Boards are a great way to get some exercise, improve your balance, and take in all of the beautiful scenery North Idaho has to offer. All participants must be advanced swimmers and bring swim wear, as you might go for a dip.

Participants will meet at AWS 30 minutes before the class starts. Make-up session for weather will be held on June 28, from 10-11 a.m., if needed.

The class fee is $12 ($2 city discount) with a minimum of five and a maximum of seven participants in this class, so register early to ensure your spot.

Pre-register by June 25 at Sandpoint Parks and Recreation, 1123 Lake St.
