Shakespeare in Sandpoint is soliciting for artisans and food purveyors for this year’s Montana Shakespeare in the Parks held at Bonner County Fairgrounds on Aug. 21. We invite people who want to be involved in the merriment and music who would have been at home in the late 1500s and early 1600s of Shakespeare’s day, for an afternoon of medieval fun before the play begins. Last year there were over 1,000 folks in attendance. This year’s goal is to create a larger medieval village and provide food.
We seek artisans who make jewelry, hair accessories, musical instruments, candles, sheepskin items, magic wands, fairie gardens, metalwork, leather items, handmade paper, woodwork, lotions, costumes & enchanted hats.
Food purveyors are needed to provide food you might find in a medieval village, such as coffee, chocolate, nuts, crepes, baked goods, turkey legs, sweet potato fries, roasted chicken, corn on the cob, baked potatoes, beef jerky, brownie sundae and pretzels.
In addition, we are searching for vendors who provide services like face and body painting, fantasy hair-weaving, fortune telling, tarot card reading or other mystical activities, and genealogy.
This is a great opportunity for your organizations or local clubs to raise money.
