EWU volleyball camp coming to Clark Fork

| June 24, 2016 1:00 AM

CLARK FORK — Head coach Cindy Derr and the Wampus Cats volleyball program are hosting the Eastern Washington University Volleyball Camp in Clark Fork on July 9-10, from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. each day.

Matt Dyck, an assistant coach at EWU, will bring some assistant coaches to give two days of specialized volleyball instruction to any girls from around the region going into the 6th-12th grades.

“I am looking for the girls to get a lot of reps on basics of passing, setting and hitting,” said Derr, who is excited to bring in a college coaching staff for two days. “We’re also hoping that we build on team dynamics as well as offense and defense.”

The camp will be broken into two sessions, including skills and team systems from 9-11:15 a.m., followed by a positional skill workout from 12:15-1:30 p.m.

The cost of the two-day camp is only $45. Anyone interested should contact coach Derr at cynthiaderr@hotmail.com, and she can email a registration form, or call 266-1276 for other questions.
