Sometimes when we lose something it awakens us to what we have. We have an awesome community
Recently, we celebrated the life of an ?icon in our community. Ted Bowers, who passed last winter, is gone but will never be forgotten. That is cliché, I know, but what is inspiring is how this man and his family have awakened our community spirit.
Ted was my contemporary, and I know that at any time I can be gone, too. As a friend said the other day: ?“?It’s like adult musical chairs.”
What keeps coming to my mind is “If you don’t use it, you lose it.” I ?feel great gratitude for everyone who came out to honor Ted and celebrate our community. There were at least three generations there and seeing the younger generation thriving made my heart sing?.
Let’s continue to celebrate our great community?. ??
