Once again we experience times, like any other times, that try men’s souls and those with strong opinions rend the fabric of our society. Yet, strong opinions also test our mettle and forge our future. Our melting pot of a nation is being tested by those who would seek to find every means possible to create doubt and division and to create crisis to sow distrust.

Nobody has an answer as everybody is correct, or everybody is wrong. “How can anyone be right if everybody’s wrong?” Meanwhile, licking its’ lips is a force that doesn’t care who’s right or wrong, only that it wins.

The Sunni sect of Islam believes that the Hadith, believed to be the sayings and customs of the prophet Muhammed, is to be strictly followed, while the Shia sect appear less dogmatic. The popular press does nothing to explain the sects of the individuals or groups committing the beheadings, rapes and murders we have been witnessing. Somewhat of a disservice to one of those two sects.

Yet at the core are words such as “fight those who do not believe in Allah,” “fight those who do not believe in the last day,” “fight those who do things that Allah and Muhammed have forbidden,” and “fight them who do not acknowledge the truth.” (Surah 9:29, The Noble Quran). Also, “”The goal of Islam is to rule the entire world and submit all of mankind to the faith of Islam”. (Abul Maududi)

Not exactly peaceful words. What is your future?
