SANDPOINT POLICE

June 22

An officer assisted a disabled motorist at the roundabout on Larch Street at 7:38 a.m.

An officer checked on a bike chained to a fence in the 100 block of S. First Avenue at 10 a.m.

No contact order violations were reported in the 4000 block of N. Boyer Road at 11:09 a.m.

The owner of a dog running around Memorial Field on Ontario Street was contacted and was able to secure it. The owner was issued a verbal warning at 11:20 a.m. for allowing his dog to run at large.

An officer attempted to contact the owner of a purse found in the 600 block of Fifth Avenue at 11:23 a.m.

A citizen in the E. Mountain View Drive area who wanted to report the theft of a gun by an ex-roommate at 11:52 a.m. left the police department before the officer arrived.

An officer was unable to locate an adult male in the Oak Street area suffering from alcoholism in order to do a welfare check at 2:31 p.m.

An officer was unable to locate a juvenile in Gunnings Alley blowing a panic whistle at 3:21 p.m.

An officer advised at 3:36 p.m. that a citizen may have found her son’s stolen bike in the area of Ruth and Main and that further investigation is needed.

A battery was placed under investigation in the 1300 block of Fir Street at 5:28 p.m.

An officer assisted the county on a call in Ponderay at 5:36 p.m.

Possible threats were reported at City Beach at 6:21 p.m.

A non-reportable collision was reported at City Beach at 7:14 p.m.

Accidental 911 activation was reported on S. Division Avenue at 7:37 p.m.

An adult male was taken on a detox hold in the 400 block of Fifth Avenue at 8:27 p.m.

After a report of a possibly injured dog in the area of Lake and Euclid, an officer located its owner at 8:56 p.m. and advised it was not injured, just old.

June 23

Officers contacted three females who may have been taking items out of a donation box in the 200 block of Richland Avenue at 12:09 a.m.

A resident in the 1300 block of Church Street was issued a verbal warning for noise at 1:42 a.m.

An officer checked Luther Park after a 911 hang-up was received at a resident’s primary residence at 1:50 a.m.
